BTvNEWS: The National Secretary of the Coalition of Yoruba Political Groups of Nigeria (CYPAGON), Comrade AbdulHakeem Mutiu Adejumo-Ajeseku, Aare M’ayegun and Atayese, has called on the people of Kaduna State to support the re-election bids of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Senator Dr. Uba Sani in the 2027 general elections.

Adejumo-Ajeseku made the call while engaging with journalists on behalf of CYPAGON’s President, Hon. AbdulHakeem Adegoke, who was unavoidably absent, and the entire membership of the association during the just-concluded presidential campaign flag-off of President Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima.

The event, organised by the All Progressives Congress (APC), took place at Ranchers Bees Stadium, Independence Way, Kaduna, on Saturday, October 24, 2026.

Speaking during the press engagement, the CYPAGON National Secretary emphasised the importance of continuity in governance, sustaining ongoing reforms, and consolidating the developmental efforts of the Federal Government and the Kaduna State Government.

He urged Kaduna residents to support the re-election of President Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani in 2027, expressing the view that continuity in leadership would provide an opportunity to build on ongoing government programmes, policies, and development initiatives.

Adejumo-Ajeseku, who represented CYPAGON’s President and its members at the event, also addressed the economic challenges confronting Nigerians, particularly the rising prices of petrol and the increasing cost of essential commodities.

Acknowledging the hardship experienced by many households, he appealed to Nigerians to exercise patience and perseverance amid the prevailing economic difficulties.

He expressed optimism that the sacrifices associated with the ongoing economic reforms would eventually yield positive results, contribute to economic recovery, and improve the living conditions of Nigerians.

The CYPAGON National Secretary further encouraged citizens not to lose hope despite the current challenges, urging them to remain steadfast as the country pursues economic recovery and sustainable development.

According to him, periods of hardship can precede better circumstances, making patience, perseverance, and hope important virtues in navigating difficult times.

Concluding his remarks, Adejumo-Ajeseku offered prayers for Nigeria and its citizens, expressing hope that the country would overcome its present difficulties and that Nigerians would eventually reap the benefits of their sacrifices.

“May Allah grant us the patience to overcome our present challenges and bless us all with the opportunity to reap the fruits of our labour. Aameen,” he prayed.

The engagement underscored CYPAGON’s participation in political discourse surrounding the 2027 general elections, with its National Secretary conveying the association’s position on leadership continuity, ongoing reforms, and the need to remain hopeful amid the country’s economic challenges.
