ADVANCING PEACE, JUSTICE AND INCLUSIVE LEADERSHIP: COMRADE ABDULHAKEEM MUTIU ADEJUMO-AJESEKU JOINS KADUNA HUMAN RIGHTS ADVOCACY DIALOGUE

BTvNEWS: BTV Executive Participates in German-Supported Stakeholders’ Engagement on Strengthening Women Interfaith Leadership for Human Rights, Transitional Justice and Democratic Stability in Kaduna State

Comrade AbdulHakeem Mutiu Adejumo-Ajeseku, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Head of Communication Research and Strategies; Political, Media and Public Affairs Analyst at BTV Online TV Radio and Publication: Climate and Peacebuilding Reporters, participated in the Kaduna Hub Committee on Human Rights Advocacy Engagement, convened under a German-funded project implemented by the Interfaith Mediation Centre (IMC), Kaduna.

The high-level engagement took place on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, at Barvey Hotel, Barnawa, Kaduna State, bringing together a diverse range of stakeholders committed to advancing peace, justice and inclusive governance.

The dialogue centred on the theme: “Building a Collaborative Advocacy Engagement Mechanism on Strengthening Women Interfaith Leadership for Human Rights, Transitional Justice, and Democratic Stability in Kaduna State.”

The forum provided a strategic platform for participants to deliberate on practical approaches to enhancing women’s participation and leadership within interfaith spaces, while reinforcing advocacy efforts aimed at promoting and protecting human rights. Discussions also explored pathways for strengthening transitional justice mechanisms and consolidating democratic stability in Kaduna State.

Participants underscored the indispensable role of women as catalysts for peacebuilding, reconciliation, community cohesion and sustainable development. Emphasis was placed on fostering collaborative partnerships among civil society actors, faith-based organisations, media practitioners and other relevant stakeholders to address emerging social challenges through inclusive and rights-based approaches.

Comrade AbdulHakeem’s participation reflected the critical role of strategic communication and responsible media engagement in amplifying advocacy initiatives that promote social justice, interfaith understanding, peaceful coexistence and democratic values. His presence at the engagement further demonstrated BTV Online TV Radio and Publication’s commitment to supporting initiatives that contribute to climate resilience, peacebuilding and human-centred development.

The engagement reaffirmed the collective responsibility of stakeholders to champion policies and actions that empower women leaders, strengthen institutional responses to human rights concerns, advance transitional justice processes and safeguard democratic principles for the benefit of present and future generations.
