
Kaduna Dignitaries Gather to Celebrate Education, Skills, and Community Development
(100-per-day Charity School) and Free Skills Acquisition and Economic Empowerment Graduation Ceremony.
BTvNEWS: Comrade AbdulHakeem Mutiu Adejumo-Ajeseku, Spokesperson and Director of Media and Publicity of the Capacity Movement, on Saturday, January 24, 2026, ably and respectfully represented his indefatigable Principal, Distinguished Ambassador Yerima Usman Shettima, a leading aspirant for the Kaduna Central Senatorial District seat, at the Ashafa Peace Academy.
The event, which held in an atmosphere of peace, gratitude, and community solidarity, celebrated the academy’s sustained commitment to education, skills development, and economic empowerment for the less privileged.
Speaking on behalf of Ambassador Shettima, Comrade Adejumo-Ajeseku conveyed his Principal’s deep appreciation for the academy’s vision, describing it as a practical model for grassroots development and social inclusion.
In his address, Adejumo-Ajeseku reaffirmed Ambassador Shettima’s unwavering dedication to human capital development, youth empowerment, and peaceful coexistence across Kaduna State.
He noted that initiatives such as the Ashafa Peace Academy align with the broader ideals of capacity building and self-reliance, which remain central to the aspirations of the Capacity Movement Project 2027.

Accompanying him to the occasion were Alhaji Aminu Adamu Sahu and Alhaji Isiaka Sabo Sarkin Pawa, whose presence further underscored the collective support for the academy’s humanitarian and empowerment-driven programmes.
Together, they engaged warmly with graduates, educators, and community members, offering words of encouragement and goodwill.
The graduation ceremony attracted a distinguished array of personalities, including the former Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Alhaji Dr. Ahmed Makarfi; His Highness, Oba Barrister Ishaq Bello Sabon Kudi, the Sarkin Yorubawan Zazzau; senior government officials; respected dignitaries; and other eminent stakeholders from across the state and beyond.

The gathering not only marked the successful graduation of beneficiaries of the free skills acquisition programme but also served as a rallying point for renewed commitment to peacebuilding, education, and economic empowerment.
Participants commended the organisers and applauded the representation of Ambassador Yerima Usman Shettima, describing it as dignified, purposeful, and reflective of a leadership style rooted in service to the people.
