
Royal engagement underscores consultation, goodwill, and commitment to purposeful leadership ahead of 2027

BTvNEWS: Ambassador Yerima Usman Shettima, accompanied by his formidable team, paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Highness, Mr. Ishaku Yari, the Esu Chikun and Sa Gbagyi, at his palace in Kaduna on Wednesday.
The visit commenced with an introductory session led by the Revenue Officer of Chikun Local Government Area, Sulaiman Aliyu, who formally presented the delegation. He said:
“Your Highness, this is Ambassador Yerima Usman Shettima, the hopeful Kaduna Central Senatorial District aspirant, Ambassador Yerima Usman Shettima, and his team.”

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, the National President of the Capacity Movement Project 2027, Alhaji Shehu Sani Sado, expressed appreciation to the royal father for the warm reception. He said:
“We are highly honoured to be warmly received and given the opportunity to identify with Your Highness. We have also come to seek and receive your royal blessings,” he added.

In his remarks during the courtesy visit, Ambassador Yerima Usman Shettima—hopeful Kaduna Central Senatorial District aspirant and National President of the Arewa Stakeholders Consultative Initiative—expressed profound gratitude to the monarch. He said:
“I am indeed grateful for this warm reception and the royal blessings. May your days be long, Your Highness.”
“By way of introduction, I am Yerima Usman Shettima, born and well-bred in Zaria. I have spent over two decades engaged in activism and humanitarian service. I am presently seeking to contest for the Kaduna Central Senatorial District seat in 2027, and I promise to do my very best if elected into office,” he added.

Responding, His Royal Highness, Mr. Ishaku Yari, Esu Chikun and Sa Gbagyi, expressed delight at receiving Ambassador Shettima and his team. He said:
“My joy is full to receive you and your team, and to hear good things about your humble self and the Capacity Movement Project 2027.”
“I enjoin you to fulfil all your promises when you secure the Kaduna Central Senatorial District seat, and to make a difference from other politicians who are known for empty promises,” he added.

The visit concluded on a note of mutual respect, royal blessings, and a shared commitment to purposeful leadership and community development.
