AREWA HUMANITARIAN INITIATIVE CONFERS MERITORIOUS AWARD ON ALHAJI SHEHU SANI SADO IN KADUNA

Honour celebrates visionary leadership, humanitarian service, and transformative socio-political advocacy

BTvNEWS: The Arewa Humanitarian Initiative on Monday conferred a prestigious Meritorious Award on the National President of the Capacity Movement, Alhaji Shehu Sani Sado, in recognition of his outstanding leadership and contributions to socio-political development and humanitarian values across Northern Nigeria.

The award presentation, which took place at the Capacity Movement’s office in Kaduna, underscored the growing recognition of principled leadership and grassroots-oriented initiatives aimed at reshaping governance and community development in the region.

The high-powered delegation from the Arewa Humanitarian Initiative was led by its Chairman, Abdulrashid Muhammad, and accompanied by two esteemed members, AbdulMalik Zakari and A’isha Bello Muhammad.

The delegation was warmly received by officials and members of the Capacity Movement in an atmosphere of mutual respect and shared commitment to progressive ideals, marking the event as both symbolic and impactful.

In his address, Abdulrashid Muhammad eloquently outlined the vision and mission of the Arewa Humanitarian Initiative. He stated:

“Our organization is committed to building a compassionate and progressive Arewa where humanitarian excellence, youth empowerment, and community development are celebrated.”

“Our mission is to identify, celebrate, and amplify individuals and organizations driving positive change across the region, while promoting humanitarian values, inspiring acts of service, fostering dialogue, and accelerating sustainable community development,” he added.

“It was on the strength of these guiding principles that the organization identified Alhaji Shehu Sani Sado, Chairman and National President of the Capacity Movement, as a worthy recipient of its 2025 Meritorious Award,” he further stressed.

Responding to the honour, Alhaji Shehu Sani Sado stated:

“I am elated to be highly honored, and to also have our indefatigable leader and role model, Distinguished Ambassador Yerima Usman Shettima, decorated with a gold medal by the Arewa Humanitarian Initiative. The recognition reflects collective effort and shared values within the Capacity Movement.”

“The Capacity Movement, as a socio-political platform, is deliberately focused on identifying and promoting leaders with capacity, ability, projection, accountability, credibility, integrity, tenacity, and yielding disposition,” he added.

“This approach is aimed at changing the narrative of governance in Nigeria, where both leaders and the led will have the courage to progress, feel fulfilled, and collectively rejoice in purposeful and people-oriented leadership,” he further stressed.

Speaking on behalf of the movement, the Spokesperson and Director of Media and Publicity, Comrade AbdulHakeem Mutiu Adejumo-Ajeseku stated:

“On behalf of the Capacity Movement, I express my unreserved gratitude to the Arewa Humanitarian Initiative for the conferment of the meritorious award on the National President of Capacity Movement, Alhaji Shehu Sani Sado, and the decoration of a gold medal on the National President of the Arewa Stakeholders Consultative Initiative and Hopeful Kaduna Central Senatorial Aspirant, Distinguished Ambassador Yerima Usman Shettima.”

“And I urge the organization to key into the Capacity Movement Project 2027, aimed at producing leaders of vision and competence for a better Nigeria.”

In the same vein, Distinguished Ambassador Yerima Usman Shettima stated : “I thank the organization for the honour, reaffirming openness to collaboration with like-minded groups, and I further demonstrate support by donating a token sum of Three Hundred Thousand Naira (₦300,000) to the Arewa Humanitarian Initiative to advance its humanitarian mission.”
