BTvNEWS: Nawair-ud-Deen Schools in Kaduna recently commemorated its 40th anniversary on Saturday July 26, 2025, bringing together esteemed NDS members, guests, alumni, and current students.

The event was graced and anchored by MC Comrade AbdulHakeem Mutiu Adejumọ-Ajẹṣẹku, former NDS Member of Finance Board, Assistant General Secretary, Acting General Secretary and Substantial General Secretary, who delivered a heartfelt introductory remarks.

The opening prayer was offered by the Imam of NDS, Kakuri-Makera Unit, Ustadh Isiaka Sulaiman.

The Welcome Address was offered by the Chairman of NDS, Kakuri-Makera Unit, Alh. Aare AbdulFatai Olayinka, on behalf of the Distinguished Chairman of NDS Kaduna Branch, Alh. Ibrahim Muhammed T. Adediji, who was unavoidably absent at the beginning of the event, but he later joined the NDS members during the program after an hour.

The Principal, Headmaster/Headmistress Remarks was offered by the School Principal, Hajia Dunmoye Rasheedat Kelani, historical reflection/video documentary of the school by the HM Badiko, Malam Isa Ahmadu, testimonies of the school achievements by the School Supervisor, Mr. Murtala Muhammad Arogunrerin, cultural performance/poem by the students, and cutting of the cake by the Distinguished Chairman of NDS Kaduna Branch, Alh. Ibrahim Muhammed T. Adediji.

The celebration recognized the school’s commitment to academic excellence and its role in shaping the lives of countless students over the years.

Distinguished guests in attendance included the SA on Environmental and Sanitations to the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Alh. Mahmud Shu’aib, the Oba Yoruba of Doka, Alh. Lawal Ibrahim, and notable figures from the education sector, who praised the school’s achievements and expressed gratitude to the founding fathers, administrators, and alumni for their tireless efforts.

The esteemed Awardees in attendance included the President of Muslim Council of Nigeria (MCON), Alh. Abdur-Rahman Sadiq, Ash-Sheikh Al-Khalifa Ashir Abdus-Salaam Al-Badawiy, Alh. Jimoh Aralamo, ably represented by his son, Alh. Abdul’Azeez Aralamo, Oba Alh. AbdulFatahi Adebowale, and others.

Ancillary support was provided by the NDS Secretary of Education Board, Alh. Abdur-Rasheed Murtala Onirungbon Gold, and the NDS Public Relations Officer, Alh. Lukman Ibiyeye, and others.

The esteemed NDS Executive Committee members in attendance included the NDS Chairman of Kakuri-Makera Unit, Alh. Aare AbdulFatai Olayinka, the NDS Chairman of Badiko Unit, Alh. Abdul’Azeez Abomide, the NDS Assistant General Secretary Alh. AbdulKabir Olaniyi, the NDS 1st Vice Chairlady, Hajia Muibat Ibiyeye, the Women’s Wing Secretary, Hajia Lateefat Omotayo Akinola, the NDS Financial Secretary, Alh. AbdulFatai Akinloye, the NDS Chairman Building Board, Alh. AbdulMajeed Ahmed Jemu, the NDS Secretary Building Board, Alhaji Ibrahim Lawal Alagbo, and others.

The anniversary event featured a series of activities, including the unveiling of the 40th Anniversary Cake and program of event by the NDS Honourable Secretary, who doubled as one of the Awardees, Alh. Dr. Shakiru Adeshina Akinloye, and the NDS Respected Chairlady, Hajia Suwaibat Ogunsanwo Jenyo, and a professional anchoring by MC Comrade AbdulHakeem Mutiu Adejumo-Ajeseku, a Nigerian journalist, CEO, TV and Radio Host, Media and Public Affairs Analyst at BTV (Online TV, Radio and Publication).

A heart-touching lecture offered by the NDS Imam, Badiko Unit, Alh. AbdulQawiyyu Sadiq, presentation of awards by the immediate past 1st, and 2nd Vice Chairman of NDS Kaduna Branch, Alh. Abdur-Rafiu Soyoye, and Alh. Engr. AbdulGaniyu Akinola, and others.

The event provided a platform for alumni to reconnect with old friends and share memories.
