Ogun Governor Makes Fresh Appointments to Strengthen Governance

BTvNEWS: Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has made significant appointments to strengthen the state’s governance structure. The governor has appointed 11 Senior Special Assistants and one Special Assistant, in addition to approving the appointment of 27 liaison officers across the state’s 20 local government areas.

The appointments were announced in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, on Monday in Abeokuta, the state capital.
The statement highlighted the governor’s commitment to enhancing governance and development in the state.

The Senior Special Assistants appointed by the governor include Ayo Somide, Laide Okunola, Sulaimon Oluwole, Adewale Adesina, Hon. Olaniyi Olufunmilayo, Tayo Mabeweje, Basibo Odoru, Hon. Kehinde Bello, Ikienomore Oladipupo Adedeji, Deluola Daniel Babatunde, and Doregoes Aaron Oluwatobi. Rasheed Obanla has been appointed as a Special Assistant to the governor.

The liaison officers appointed across the 20 local government areas include Hon. (Dr) Wale Bello and Sulaimon Sanni for Abeokuta North, Odetayo Bolade Mutiu and Mr. Yomi Okanlawon for Abeokuta South, Alhaja Waliat Ogunbiyi and Otunba Rafiu Okewale for Ado-Odo/Ota, and others.

The appointees are expected to play a crucial role in implementing the governor’s developmental agenda, anchored on the ISEYA mantra, which focuses on Infrastructure, Social Welfare, Education, Youth Empowerment, and Agriculture. The governor’s administration has emphasized the importance of teamwork and commitment to achieving its goals.

In the statement, the Secretary to the State Government urged all the appointees to be diligent and committed to the developmental drive of Governor Dapo Abiodun. He emphasized that the appointments are aimed at enhancing governance and development in the state.
