Tinubu Wins APC Northwest’s Vote of Confidence

Leadership Style Puts Country in Rightful Place…

BTvNEWS: The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nigeria’s Northwest zone has passed a resounding vote of confidence on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, praising his transformational leadership and contributions to the region’s development.

The vote of confidence was passed at the party’s zonal stakeholders meeting held in Kaduna on Saturday. The motion was moved by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Tajuddeen Abbas, and seconded by the Governor of Kebbi State, Mohammed Nasir Idris.

The motion was unanimously affirmed by party stakeholders, including APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, Deputy Senate President, Sen. Barau Jibrin, and Minister of Budget and National Planning, Atiku Abubakar Bagudu. Other prominent attendees included the host Governor, Sen. Uba Sani of Kaduna State, Aminu Bello Masari, and Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi.

While moving the motion, Abbas commended the President’s purposeful governance, inclusive leadership, and unwavering support for the Northwest geopolitical zone.

He said, “On behalf of the Northwest zone of the APC, I emphatically moved a motion for a vote of confidence on our dear President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his purposeful governance, inclusive leadership and unwavering support and contributions to the socio-economic development of Northwest geopolitical zone.”

The Speaker also disclosed that President Tinubu remains the zone’s preferred Presidential Candidate for the 2027 election. This development underscores the zone’s confidence in the President’s leadership and vision for the country.

The Governor of Kebbi State, in seconding the motion, praised Tinubu’s leadership style, saying it has put the country in its rightful place in the committee of nations. He commended the President’s administration for its achievements and contributions to national development.

The stakeholders noted that major infrastructure projects are being completed or are underway across the North West, marking a new era of development in the region. They also observed that “APC continues to grow in strength, unity, and national appeal, due to Nigerians’ appreciation of the President and our APC Governors.”

The meeting’s outcome is a testament to the President’s growing influence and popularity within the party, particularly in the Northwest zone. It also underscores the zone’s support for Tinubu’s leadership and policies, which are seen as driving development and progress in the region.
