By AbdulHakeem Mutiu Adejumo-Ajeseku, Abuja-Nigeria

BTvNEWS: As the holy month of Ramadan commences, Nigerian Muslims are extending heartfelt greetings and warmest wishes to one another. This sacred month is a time for spiritual rebirth, renewal, and righteousness, and Nigerian Muslims are seizing the opportunity to reconnect with their faith, families, and communities.

In a statement issued on Saturday March 1, 2025, equivalent to 1 Ramadan 1446 A.H, Comrade AbdulHakeem Mutiu Adejumo-Ajeseku, a Nigerian Journalist, Media and Public Affairs Analyst, TV and Radio Host of BTV, urged Nigerian Muslims to seize the opportunity of the Ramadan period to fervently pray for Nigeria, and to continue to live in peace with non-Muslims.

“Ramadan is a sacred opportunity for us to reconnect with our faith, our families, and our communities,” he said.

“Let us use this blessed month to promote peace, harmony, and understanding within our communities, and to fervently pray for the peace, stability, and prosperity of Nigeria”, he further emphasized.

As Nigerian Muslims continue to observe their fasting and prayers, they are being reminded of the importance of remaining steadfast in their spiritual obligations, and of continuing to promote peace, harmony, and understanding within their communities.

According to Islamic scholars, Ramadan is a time for forgiveness, mercy, and compassion. It is a time to seek forgiveness for past transgressions, to forgive those who have wronged us, and to extend a helping hand to those in need.

As good Muslims, Nigerians are expected to embody the values of Ramadan, including assisting the needy, strengthening family ties, and reciting the Glorious Quran.

As Nigerian Muslims fast and pray, they are also encouraged to persevere their patience over provoking issues, avoiding malice and negative thoughts.

They are urged to extinguish negative mindsets and behaviors, give sadaka frequently, and appreciate and show gratitude to their spouses and children.

This blessed month is also an opportunity for Nigerian Muslims to mend relationships and resolve grudges with others.

By doing so, they can help to promote peace, harmony, and understanding within their communities.

In addition to their spiritual obligations, Nigerian Muslims are also being encouraged to fervently pray for the peace, stability, and prosperity of Nigeria.

They are urged to continue to live in peace with non-Muslims, and to be good ambassadors of Islamic religion and Nigeria wherever they find themselves.

As Nigerian Muslims embark on this spiritual journey, they are being reminded of the importance of spreading love, kindness, and compassion wherever they go.

By doing so, they can help to promote a positive image of Islam and Nigeria, and contribute to the development of a more harmonious and peaceful society.

The Nigerian government is also being urged to provide a conducive environment for Muslim faithfuls to observe their fasting and prayers. This includes ensuring the availability of basic amenities such as food, water, and electricity, as well as providing security and safety for all citizens.

As the holy month of Ramadan progresses, Nigerian Muslims are being encouraged to remain steadfast in their spiritual obligations, and to continue to promote peace, harmony, and understanding within their communities.

In conclusion, the holy month of Ramadan is a sacred opportunity for Nigerian Muslims to reconnect with their faith, families, and communities. By seizing this opportunity, they can help to promote peace, harmony, and understanding within their communities, and contribute to the development of a more harmonious and peaceful society.
