As promised, the educational scholarship cheque was issued on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, to the 1st position winners of the Yoruba Quiz Competition, Fatimah Al-Qaseem Ibrahim and Sa’adatu Al-Qaseem Ibrahim, representing the Before Rail unit of the Yoruba Community, Bosenlo TV News reports.

The biological father of the educational scholarship recipients, Imam Muhammad Al-Qaseem Ibrahim, expressed profound gratitude to His Highness Oba Soetan for touching his life, and that of his family positively.
“Kabiyesi, you have assisted me, and the parents of other beneficiaries at this time of economic hardship when too many dogs are running after too few bones. May Allah, the Almighty, elongate your life, replenish your pocket, and reward you immensely here and in the hereafter for your usual financial support to the Yoruba Community of Gonin-gora, as well as other tribes, ” he fervently prayed.
Comrade AbdulHakeem Mutiu Adejumo-Ajeseku, a renowned media guru and CEO of Bosenlo TV (BTV), anchored the educational scholarship award event. He advised the beneficiaries to maintain their brilliance, dexterity, and determination, urging them to become prime figures in their respective fields. Mrs. Theresa Maude, the biological mother of the WAEC award beneficiary, expressed her gratitude, and fervently prayed for the benefactor, seeking God’s blessings and protection for him and his family.
“God has created His Highness Oba Soetan for us the non-Yorubas in this community for humanitarianism and empowerment to all regardless of tribe and religion,” she said. May God, the Almighty, continue to bless you in manifold, and may He let your immediate family encounter favour, honour, and grace wherever they may be,” she prayed.
In his remarks, HH Oba Abayomi stated that all gratitude is due to God, the Almighty, and the entire community members for their cooperation and undiluted love. He emphasized the importance of intensifying efforts on humanitarian and empowerment programs for the entire community and humanity.

He said: “The newly established FAS ECO Hair Braids/Wigs, where organic hair/wigs are made with banana peels, as well as body cream, at Sabo Tasha, Kaduna, is a testament to show our commitment to empowering female folks in the community. This initiative will provide opportunities for women to acquire new skills, become financially independent, and contribute to the community’s economic growth.
We are planning to establish shoe-making factories, monograming, fashion designing, and tailoring outlets, acquiring verse of land for large scale agriculture, to promote the welfare of community male folks, regardless of age, tribe, and religion. This initiative will provide employment opportunities, skills training, and economic empowerment for the male members of the community,” he emphasized further.
