BTvNEWS: As a science, environmental and investigative journalist, I’m compelled to shed light on the pressing issue of environmental sanitation in Kaduna State.
The state government is facing mounting pressure to reintroduce monthly environmental sanitation and periodic house-to-house inspections to maintain a clean and healthy environment.
This move is crucial in preventing flooding, erosion, and climate crises, while ensuring communities comply with laws regulating hygiene and good health.
The importance of sanitation cannot be overstated, as proper waste disposal and regular clean-ups can significantly reduce the risk of diseases, mitigate environmental disasters, and promote economic growth.

The Kaduna State House of Assembly has already taken steps towards re-introducing monthly sanitation, with the Chairman of the House Committee on Environment, Mr. Usman Danlami Stingo, stating that a bill will be forwarded to mitigate climate change impact and create resilience.
